Would you let your children watch anime?
 
I like to watch anime. It's Actually my favourite hobby Is it suitable for children though? I mean shows like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tail, Pokémon, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu Gi Oh, Sailor Moon, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Cardcaptor Sakura, Digimon, Fruit Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, Beyblade, Tokyo Mew Mew, Clannad/Clannad After story, Kanin 2006, Death Note, Code Geass, Slayers, Kodocha, Hunter X Hunter 2011, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Fate/Stay Night, Magi The Kingdom/Labyrinth of Magic, Kiddy Grade, PowerPuff Girls Z, Steins;Gate, Vampire Knight, or other anime like those?

Would you let your kids watch anime?

Why not ? I also like watch some good series once a week, it's just like films but there are more genre

Some of it is rated just fine for kids and some is clearly for grown-ups.

no way)) to many violence and I noticed that at least 80% of people I know who watches anime have huge problems with self-esteem, relations and don't have normal relationships.

Firstly, I’ve got to say, this question could equally be rephrased as ‘Should kids read books/watch films/read comics/play video games…’ and so on. ‘Anime’ is not a genre, so to speak, it’s a media form, just like any of the things listed above. Within anime/manga, there are as many different genres as there are for books and films. (Science fiction, romance, comedy…) Likewise, there are anime series produced for different aged audiences: children, teens, and adults. :smile:
