12m old not eating solids yet?
Hi mamas, my 2nd son will be 12m next monday! YAY! Unfortunately, we can't seem to get him to REALLY eat anything. Well, food wise anyway, I find plenty of "solids" in his diaper but I suspect this is mostly our parrots foods as I've found him with pellets and dehydrated produce in his mouth several times a day.
But with table food, he takes it willingly or will put it in his mouth willingly, sucks on it and works it around for a bit but then spits in back into his hand. Sometimes he will put the food back in his mouth for a bit but ultimately spits it out, wipes it on himself or something else. All in all he doesn't really seem to have much of a drive for solids.
I DID wait until he was 8-9m to start table food due to my own leaky gut and certain foods like dairy (even raw and organic that I eat) will give him eczema through breast milk. I don't offer him dairy or grains, it's mostly just meats fruits and veggies, apple sauce and occasionally a little bit of rice, which he seems to really dislike. Since birth he's been EBF, on demand so he's a chunky monkey, 20# and LOTS of fat rolls ;-)
Any one have any tips, BTDT stories,, did it get better? when? How?
