My son abruptly weaned --after 40 months. We were nursing only around sleep, but I'm still sad. DS said"I don't like the urses."and just stopped nursing. I've beennursing one or both of my boys for 5 1/2 years and I'm trying not to be sad, but I am....

I also wonder about my supply. Will I just dry up? Could I get a plugged duct or mastitis? How do you cut the supply?

Thanks.

: I wanted to hug ya as well. It's one of my biggest fears/dreads.

If you are trying to dry up you could try cabbage leaves, right on your boobs inside a bra or whatever. I have heard they work.

Thanks. I've been talking to DH about it and he tries to be sympathetic, but doesn't get it!

Just a note:
I think the cabbage leaves need to be wet....there was mention of it in the March/April 2005 Mothering article about the women who nursed twins with one breast

Hope everything works out for you
