We had our 5 month olds done through a naturopath and it came back that he is enzyme deficient to all fruit and fruit products. Obviously this is qualitative and not quantitative (to know the extent) but the idea of raising a child with no fruit is odd...
I am still on a TED for him of Turkey, Potato, Sweet Potato and Asparagus and sea salt. I am going to wait a little longer without out fruit (it has only been 3 days) and then try to add back in some other foods sowly - obviously continuing to avoid anything he has trialed positive for and the major allergens so dairy, corn, wheat, rice and spinach (from trial) and soy, nuts and peanuts, fish and shellfish, chocolate.
His combination intolerance is any Grain and Potato. So if I want to add quinoa in I am to do alternating days with my potatos/sweet potatos.
As much as I read about it I still have trouble with the concept of intolerances vs. allergies.... and do I believe that the susected allergies he has shown are in existence or amplified due to the intolerances? Am I making any sense? Any one with experience on this?
