Hi all,

I need help. I am currently EBFing my 3 month old DS. I have SUCH BAD seasonal allergies. With the weather turning here, we have been outside the past few days and I am paying for it! I USE to take Zyrtec before I found out I was PG last year. I would like to avoid any prescription meds if at all possible. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Nettles can sometimes help. You can get them in capsules, bulk herb, or prepared tea bags.

Local honey worked for me -- I finally found honey that was made just a few miles from my house.

Apparently you eat the pollens, and inoculate yourself against them.

See other thread in this forum on raw honey.

oops. just posted a similar question. sadly, no local honey here. well, there is some produced on Brooklyn rooftops but i don't believe it is raw.

Off to try to find out more about nettles...

i could be wrong, but i think it is considered raw if it has been heated to a certain temp, sort of like it hasn't been pasturized. it's usually kinda grainy. i like the taste of raw honey sooooooo much better. mmmmmmm.
