we`ve been travelling western europe for four weeks now. our 2.5 year old ds has lost about 6 or 7 lbs. he used to weigh 37/8 lbs now he just weighs 30/1 lbs. he really only nibbles and we don`t have cooking facilities or means to refrigerate. he eats crackers, cheese, etc. often when we buy him some pasta or pizza he`ll only eat a bite or two.

should we be worried? he always eats fries and other nasty food that his daddy gets for him like chicken mcnuggets. should we get him the bad stuff that we know he`ll eat? we always try to have food with us and we always offer it.

any help would be much appreciated. we still have 3 weeks to go.

If it were me I'd put in a call to the pedi. I would be concerned, as that's a loss of 20%+ of his body weight. Could he have an intestinal illness? Does he have other symptoms? Could it be the stress of traveling?

Good luck! I hope the rest of your trip goes well.
