These tips to keep you organized is are so great. Some I already do and some I am going to start doing
"1. Make a list, then forget about it: Write down the most pressing absolutely essential items and free them from your overburdened gray matter. Don’t actually forget about it, but think of this list as a corral for your to-do list so they don’t go wandering off to pastures unknown never to return. (Mine like to come back to me at 2 am or so. Emails I forgot to answer, laundry I didn’t fold, oh crap was that meeting tomorrow or Friday? Why sleep when you can panic instead!)
2. Keep your list doable. I need to send thank-you cards. Not likely: staging a photo shoot with coordinating outfits, clean children, fresh haircuts, and no visible injuries on anyone while we frolic through a forest/beach/stark white background in a perfectly captured moment of family bliss. Likely: Grabbing a generic stack of cards and writing a short heartfelt note. Possible bonus: Picture of my kids where two out of three aren’t scowling/injured/have something sticky in their hair.
3. Throw your crap away. I know, those oatmeal canisters for that as-yet-to-be-determined art project will totally get used. Eventually. Maybe. Possibly? Or maybe it’s time to let them go to the proverbial recycling bin in the sky. Or the actual recycling bin. And clear out the computer desktop and drives while you’re at it. Toss the digital crap, too. It feels really good to get rid of the excess stuff, and we all have it."
How do you keep your household in line?
