interesting to read the dave ramsey vent thread i've checked him out in the past, and suze orman, and the wealthy barber, and other things. i wonder if anyone has other recommendations? anyone blogging about handling money, staying out of debt, in an inspiring way? we're currently juggling living in a new country (well, my partner's country) and starting up freelancing here, working out a lot of knots in a very expensive city. my financial habits are pretty sketchy, though i've tried many things to help with it, i'd like to have a clearer sense of things and need to do some financial housekeeping again...i find i do very well with some inspiration. these threads are great of course! any other suggestions for me?

DR may have a vent thread but he also has pretty simple starter plan.

I ignore parts I disagree with - his politics, his stance on whole life - but the rest of it has really helped me figure out where I spend my $ and make savings plans for known future expenses.

Do you have a library nearby? Maybe check out his book?

I love love love The Simple Dollar blog.

He brings in bits of Dave Ramsey and others. Gives reviews on bunches of personal finance books, too. Frankly, I think with this website you don't need to go elsewhere, there is so much here. Look through the archives. Best of all - it's FREE!:
