I have 2 cats, one is 16 and the other is 9. Both are female. We recently had to move and our new house is not allowing us to take the cats, so my sister took them for me. She has informed me she cannot take care of them anymore, so I need to find a place for them. She has had them for about 2 weeks.

This is really hard for me, as I have had the cats so long and wanted them in the family at the very least. We just have no one else and no other alternative. I know it is bad with the one cat being so old, but I just wondered if there was a program out there that anybody here knows about that will take in cats (other than the pound) that won't kill them? The only places in our area (the shelters and adoption societies) won't take them unless they are strays.

You will be really, really hard pressed to find anyone to take them, especially the 16 year old. Honestly, I'd sneak them into the house. I know that's not an ideal situation. At their age though, I can't think of anyone who would take them. I'm sorry. Maybe someone else knows of somewhere? Cat rescue? {{{{hugs}}}} Can they be easily hidden?

I would sneak them in as well, or can you choose a house that takes your cats?

Sneak them in, then take note of when you'll be having a property inspection so you can make alternative arrangements for that day. Make sure the landlord follows the laws related to inspections and you'll be fine.

My sister sneaked her two cats in her old apartment, no problems. Go for it!
