I got some pork bones from the farmer where I get my chickens.

Can I roast these for stock, too? I'm not a huge fan of pork, but since they were so inexpensive I thought I would give them a try. I've never heard of pork stock, though.

I ate pork stock for the first time yesterday. I ordered it from a place here in the Bay Area that makes traditional foods. It came with split pea soup that I mixed with it. I think pork traditionaly goes with pea soup. I've never made it myself, but I can attest that it is yummy .

We're getting ready to order a pig and I'll definitely be asking for all the bones. I figure that if I don't like the taste of pork soup I can always use it for cooking beans, split pea soup or other dishes that would normally have a ham/pork flavor to them.

I just got a 1/4 bison last week and some soup bones. Should I use them just like beef bones? I assume so.... thanks and excuse the thread hijack.
