Great memory or reading?

I posted here before about my daughter she’s 4. I think she’s advanced maybe, but not sure about gifted. She doesn’t know how to read but recently I noticed that she tries to read signs and things by sounding it out. So because I saw she was interested in reading I went a got her flashcards. They have pictures on them so I covered the picture and would have her try to read them but she was having trouble so I just started sounding them out for her. We went through 15 cards and tried again. Well the second time around she read them fast as if she just memorized them. So I gave her 10 more cards and asked her to learn them while I did my hair. When I came back maybe 20 minutes later I quizzed her by showing her the word and covering the picture and she knew all of them. So I tried the 10 cards plus a couple she hadn’t seen and when I would show her a card she hadn’t seen she would just say I don’t know that one yet. So I gave her the last 11 cards and asked her to learn them. And again she knew almost all of them when I quizzed her. So I went through all 36 cards and she had learned all of them. She had trouble with some but then she would spell out the word and remember what it was. I feel like this is not normal but I might be wrong?

Yes, she sounds advanced and could be potentially gifted. At that age, my dd was waiting to start pre-k and I didn't know she could be advanced/gifted. I had no one else to compare her to. She didn't have friends her age. I happened to borrow a book to help her to read single words and was going over it with her in baby steps and she just took the book and read all the sentences back to me. I still didn't know that that is advanced. I thought she was more advanced than I perceived. Well, gradually, in 2nd grade they will evaluate your child, at least that was the grade for us, and they will also need the teacher's letter to support the test findings. Your child doesn't have to be good in reading to be a gifted child. It's different faculties for different kids.

I had written to you earlier as well. I think I am basically saying the same things here, but basically in different words
