I am almost to the point of needing at the very least maternity pants. Well I went to the Motherhood outlet because they carry plus sizes. Well apparently if your plus size you are ALSO 7 FEET TALL!!!!: Seriously, the pants the might have fit were so long there was no way I wanted to deal with hemming them. Any ideas for nice clothes that don't cost a fortune?

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Popping in from a different DDC. I've had great luck getting plus sized maternity clothes off ebay. Jeans, pants, tops. I've gotten 2 pairs of jeans, a pair of cords, a pair of purple pants and 5 or so tops. All told I've spent (including shipping) about $75.

Good luck!

I have actually had really good luck lately with Target maternity in XXL. They have stretchy gauchos on clearance and they are perfect.

Ditto! The vast majority of my maternity clothes are either from ebay or borrowed from another plus size mommy friend. i've also gotton a couple of good deals in the clearance section of the motherwear website, but this won't work for anyone who needs clothes in-season. It's hot here year round so the fact that they have summer clothes on clearance is perfect for me. Ebay is awesome though.

JCPenny catalog (and website) also has a good selection of plus size maternity clothes. Some of the petites go up to a size 16.

eBay and Target. I love LizLange maternity clothes. They fit great and make me look pregnant and less fat.

I don't know what size you are but the Old Navy maternity runs big and the XXL would fit probably up to a size 24, even though I think it says it's for size 20. I think the XL would fit anywhere from 16-20.

Larger JCPenney stores are now carrying plus sized maternity, as well. It's merchandised in the maternity section, towards the back.

Popping over from November...

I've had really good luck with stuff from Motherhood - I'm about 5'7" and most of my length is above the waist.

I have one pair of pants from the "Two Hearts" line at Sears, but they are quite long on me.

The only pair of pants (denim capris) that I found at a thrift store were also Motherhood pants =)

I know that Lane Bryant stores don't carry maternity, but their online store does. And I have another big mama friend that got a lot from JC Penney online - I haven't tried (I'm not big on ordering clothes online if I don't know they will fit for sure).

Here are a few links on the subject - or stores I have found - that I had in my bookmarks...

Good luck!

This is true of tops for me, but not bottoms. I find that their bottoms tend to run small. I was an 18 pre-pregnancy and the pair of underbelly denim capris i have from old navy in an XXL barely fit me now, i can't imagine they would fit anyone bigger than me.

Hmm, maybe it depends on what it is. Because I tried on a couple pairs of jeans and they were huge and I had to size down! Maybe I've lost weight. :

Thanks so much. I plan to spend the weekend checking and maybe start buying a little here and there. I am still in regular clothes but fast approaching when they will not be comfortable. Thanks for all the help!

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

When I was pregnant, I had bought most of my clothes online from this site as they has quite reasonable clothing and that too in plus size that fit me well during the pregnancy.
