Hi everyone!

I'm wondering how many of you guys (hoping I'm not the only one!) are still nursing and co-sleeping with their youngest.

I'm nursing (only 2-3 times per day) and co-sleeping with my 16 month old. I'm hoping you can share your experiences with me over the next few months. I'm wondering how this is all going to work, and I'm a little nervous!

I am, nursing 7-8 times (is it really that many!?) and co-sleeping part-time with my youngest son.

bed-headed mama to two lovely boys, 6 and 4.

Me.

DS just turned 2. Lately he has been nursing all.night.long. Due to the molars, I think? It's ridiculous how much he nurses.

We don't have plans to move him out of our bed, everyone will just get a little less space when we add our new addition (and as I get larger)

I'm freaked out about my progesterone though. I will rest easier once it's tested. My brain knows that it's fine to nurse while pregnant, but I'm still nervous, KWIM?

I am nursing a few minutes at bedtime and early morning. If dh is home then he moves our four year old dd to the toddler bed next to our bed and she stays there most of the night. If he is gone to work then she sleeps with me all night. I am too tired to move her and I am supposed to avoid lifting in early pregnancy.

Oh, so glad to know I'm not the only one!

DS has been nursing all night long lately, too. He's teething his molars, 4 at once!!! Poor baby!

We have his crib converted to a toddler day bed and pushed up against ours Lately we have been able to lay him in his bed and rub his back to help him fall asleep. He fusses just a little, but goes to sleep pretty easily. Most nights he wakes up at least twice, but the molars have really been bothering him lately!

Oh, and I forgot my question. Nursing during pregnancy is okay, right? As long as I get enough vitamins and eat well during the day? I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything to hurt DS or the new baby. Sorry if that is a dumb question!

I am still nursing a 20-month old, and still co-sleeping. She is a *very* attached child, and I'm a little concerned about what's going to happen when she has to share mama with someone else.
Breastfeeding while pregnant is totally fine. Be sure to take care of yourself!

Nursing and co-sleeping here too.

Ds1 weaned when I was pregnant with ds2. I am hoping ds2 does not wean because of this pregnancy. He is still such a little baby to me!

Both of my boys join me in bed before midnight almost every night. I like co-sleeping. Dh does not love it but he appreciates why it is good for everyone and he works nights so he is only in our bed 2 nights a week. We are considering many options for making night time manageable when #3 arrives. I am open to suggestions.

DS is almost 17mo and still nurses constantly - he RARELY goes more than an hour between nursings during the day, but he usually sleeps at least one 4-5 hours stretch at night.

Last week for the first time he actually had more than a few 3-4 hour stretches during the day. I think the taste of my milk must have changed and he was not sure if he liked it or something. Seems he's gotten used to it though as he's back to nursing constantly!

We also cosleep, and we *might* do some sort of modified night weaning later on. I had SPD with my last pg and I'm not sure how I'll do with lying on one side all night in late pg this time around.

I'm planning to tandem nurse and let DS CLW.

Mama to two crazy boys (8/05 & 9/07) and happy wife to one wonderful hubby.

Not nursing, but still co-sleeping with our 28 month old. Although when this baby is born DS will be 3 so he'll probably be in his own bed by then.

Co-sleeping and nursing (most of the night and half dozen times during the day) 15-mth DD. Love every minute, even when she is lying directly on top of me!

Yup, still cosleeping and nursing my almost 3 yo dd. She bfs alot still. Ive always been able to sleep thru night nursings, and she doesnt generally nurse very often/long during the day, just when she goes for a nap, or right when she wakes up.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out
I am open to tandem nursing, but there are just so many ways it could go

Nursing 33 mo and cosleeping w/ her and her 4 1/2 year old brother (and DH!) We were already working at getting DS into the bunk beds with his big brother DS12. I'd love to get DD2 into a bunk bed with DD9, but I'm not expecting that to happen unless she weans herself, but I can hope.

I still nurse my 26 month old and we co-sleep with her and my 5 yr old daughter! I hope to nurse throughout the pg, but my first dd weaned at 27 months when I was few weeks pg. I've heard that's fairly common. It'll make me sad if that happens again though!

I am also still nursing a two year old who takes attachment parenting very seriously! She is super attached, so I am also freaked out a bit about adding #2 to the family. Anyway, she sleeps most nights in her crib now, but that didn't start until she was about 20 months or so. . .

I am nursing my almost 22 month old son. He sleeps with us and sometimes nurses like 20 times a day. I don't know how it will all go but I am sure we will find a way that works for us. It should be interesting.

This past week we all had colds, and in the middle of one terrible night I moved DS to his room (he has a mattress on the floor) and slept with him in there so DH could function the next day. I did that the following two nights and I started to wonder if I should work on nightweaning him and transitioning him to his own bed. Instead, I took the easy way out and moved him back to our bed this weekend, as we were all improving and I didn't care about DH's sleep as much.

It would be nice to transition DS before this baby arrives, but I don't think it is going to happen. DH snores horrificly so I have to wear earplugs at night. I wouldn't be able to hear DS that way. I guess if we don't have enough room in our bed once #2 arrives I'll have to kick DH out

I still nurse and cosleep with my youngest, and cosleep with my 6 and 5 yo,s. They just started crawling back in my bed few months ago when my husband left again, but baby has always been there. I have no plans on stopping nursing or cosleeping the baby, but when i have 2 critters wanting a nunu, the bigger ones can sleep in there own bed for while till the new baby is older. People freak out when they come over and there is no crib, lol. I tell them, I have 2 cribs, they are both stored away in the basement...

Both of mine are still nursing and both co-sleep. I admit to being a little apprehensive about triandem nursing...tandem has been wild enough : Fortunately, we got a king-sized bed last fall!!

Count me in...My ds1 (4) and ds2 (2) still sleep with us. We have a king and full pushed up together. Don't expect anything to change when the new babe comes. Only ds2 is still nursing...ALL THE TIME! I read a good article on kellymom.com about nursing and being pregnant. It's a good read - I'll go find it and post it. It's fine to do it!

I am still nursing and cosleeping with my younger ds who will be 3 in April. I love cosleeping and want that to continue, but I would really like to wean him from bfing soon. He does not want to stop though, and I don't know what to do. He will just cry and cry and can't calm down if I try and not nurse him. He's pretty much only nursing for naps and at bedtime right now, and occasionally if he gets hurt.

Sarah : , mama to Lucas (8) , Ryan (5) : , Andrew (1yr) , and someone new : due early Dec.

Nursing my 22 month old DD and co-sleeping, too. I've got mixed feelings about keeping on nursing. On one hand, I don't want to wean her at all. But she's a very... active... nurser. She nurses 20+ times a day, she does acrobatic moves, pinches, pulls, and bites. Despite gently teaching her not to. My boobs hurt so bad right now from being pregnant and then add on DD's roughness... UGH! :

I'm co-sleeping and nursing (a few times per night at least) my 12 month old. I never planned to have two this close together, but will do everything I can to continue to baby my little guy, before and after the new baby comes.

Still nursing and co-sleeping with my boob-aholic 2 year old.

We're trying to come up with a good co-sleeping arrangement because I know DS won't be ready for his won bed by the time the baby gets here.
