I take a prenatal that has 800mcg of folic acid. Is that enough? Would taking more, like double that amount, be a good thing? I also heard that drinking green tea affects the folic acid in your system. Has anyone else heard that? Do you know what to do in that case?

Yes, I'm totally freaking! : I have too much time on my hands and just keep thinking of all the things I could be doing wrong.

There was an interesting study done a whil ago about folic acid that said it mattered more pre-conception than early pregnancy. That's one reason they reccommend all women of childbearing age to get at least 400mcg daily. While preggo though its best to get at least 800mcg/day. Most pre-natals supply the reccommended preggo dose.

I've read about the green tea. I'm avoiding it.
