After getting my Vitamin D levels back yesterday, I've decided to start taking Blue Ice CLO. Can anyone recommend a site to order from? TIA!

I ordered fermented CLO (plain flavor) from here: http://www.building-health.com/ It is much cheaper than on the Green Pastures site. And when you buy 2 bottles, you save another $6. So, it was $36.90 vs. $49 (at Green Pastures), and shipping was FREE!

Great! Do you recommend the plain fermented over the flavored version? Is the taste tolerable? Can I just add it to orange juice to take it?

We haven't tried the fermented CLO. But from reading, they all taste horrible. You only need 1ml a day, though, for an adult, per my understanding.

You might want to check out the Traditional Foods forum: apparently Blue Ice will be adding synthetic vitamins for their non-fermented cod liver oils.

I can't disguise that taste, UGH and OYYYYY! I have the raw fermented from the site WuWei suggested.
THe best way I can do is eyeball 1ml on a spoon, hold my breath and put spoon all the way back and dump truck drop it in then drink the OJ. Even for seconds after that the taste is still there and ew, if you burp later, ew ew ew, cod liver taste. EW!

But, worth the benefits for SURE! It's like a game for me now, mind over CLO. I use to have a REAL hard time with it, now I sit still and only need one sip of juice. Time.

Wow, the stuff sounds really horrid! I tried the Kirkland brand lemon flavor last year and could hardly choke that down. I'm going to order the fermented version. Can you mix it in with OJ to try and disguise it, or do you have to take it first and then chase with OJ? Obviously I'll get used to it eventually, but I'd like to start giving my kids some but I can't imagine they will willingly take this if it's that bad.

Well, if this is any encouragement, my ds is a very picky eater, and really doesn't (to put it mildly) like the taste of the raw fermented CLO, but takes it, from the syringe with a raw milk chaser. We recently ran out and are waiting for a new shipment to arrive and he keeps asking me when he can have his "strong oil", he misses it!

IMO, the fermented CLO is not that bad. I mix my 1 ml in a little cup of milk (I get the cinnamon flavor, btw) drink that down and follow it with a sip of my morning coffee. I also get mine from buildinghealth.com (Natural Health Advocates). I would recommend them to anyone Great customer service.

FYI, there's a new thread in TF about Blue Ice CLO & an upcoming addition of synthetic vitamins. AFAIK, only the fermented will be all natural.

Bummer. I really like the cinnamon.

Many folks take it with OJ. But, I believe since it is an oil, and won't readily mix with a liquid, that much of it just sticks to the inside of the cup. We always take it from a spoon, directly.

Man, me too. I am seriously sad about this! The cinnamon is the only kind I can take.

Anyone know how long clo lasts unopened? Maybe I'll stock up.

The fermented kind seems to come in flavors too. It's the raw fermented that only comes in plain.

It lasts about 2 years unopened.

Normal is just a setting on your dryer.

I squirt it in the back of my mouth and chase it some raw milk. DS really likes it too. I squirt it in his mouth and then he drinks some raw milk. No big deal. He gets really excited when I say it's time for his fishy oil.
