Hello,

I want to help boost DD's immune system by adding Vit C and cod liver oil to her diet. Any suggestions on how to do this?

I have Hylands Vit C tablets and Nordic Naturals DHA for children.

Do I give once a day or try to split the dose over the day?
Do I give every day or just in advance of big things (like airplane trips) or when she is starting a cold?
Do I need to increase her water intake to help with absorption?

SHe is 15 months old, unvaxed, weighs 21 pounds, eats solids and gets mamamilk whenever she wants.

Thank you!

Vitamin C is best split into a few doses, or at least a couple. You don't need to increase water intake as far as I know. In order for CLO to help the immune system, IMO you really need a high vitamin CLO--Nordic Naturals is good for omega 3's but doesn't have a whole lot of vitamin A & D. You can give both to her every day but can give more SA when she's sick or before stressors/trips if you like.

I use this http://www.building-health.com/catal...283/909760.htm
for myself and my DD--2 tsp for me, 1/2 tsp for her. She likes the mint and orange flavors (haven't given her the cinnamon or plain).
