Is it just me, or does this sound like it's saying: "Most didn't get the flu shot because they didn't think it was necessary, now there's an outbreak and it's too late, what can we do to make them rush to get their shot next year?" :

GRRRR

Infoispower, no, I doubt very much the word is getting out.

There is apathy EVERY YEAR in the U.S. about the Flu vax. People under the age of 65 just don't worry about it.

That was, until now!

So it will be interesting to see how people react next year. Will they run to get themselves (and their kids) vaxxed early? Most probably.

DH was freaking out when the news of the children's deaths started being publized. I was not. He wanted to get himself a shot. I talked him out of it.

I think most people (and kids) who get the Flu will be alright. Though I'm not searching for it.... I'm staying away from malls.

But a friend of mine with 4 yr old twins (they never go anywhere!) just got it. Their DH did not. They're OK. They did not get a flu shot.

Sigh. I'm just hoping Hilary. I'm hoping this year's flu hype ends up biting the pharmaceutical firms in the arse. Especially given the multiple sources of news and contradictory statements made.
