My friend's unvaxed son came down with the exact symptoms of mumps after playing with a little friend who had just gotten her MMR shot. Her doctor said it was impossible for him to have contracted it from her. My other pro-vaxing friend says it's impossible. It seems like a weird coincidence to me.

For live vaxes (chickenpox, mmr, rotavirus and flu mist) it's perfectly possible.

I think it's theoretically possible because the MMR is a live virus vax, although I have never personally known anyone to whom it has happened
