You will never look at giving birth the same way. Please join Free the
Midwives for a special benefit screening of The Business of Being
Born (www.TheBusinessofBeingBorn.com), a documentary film Directed by
Abby Esptein and Executive Produced by Ricki Lake. This sneak preview
screening is scheduled for Saturday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. (doors
open at 6:00 p.m.) at the Ethical Society of St. Louis.

Register at www.freethemidwives.org for tickets and more information.
The minimum donation for pre-registration is $15/person. Tickets are
also available at the door for a minimum donation of $20/person. All
tickets are general admission. Tickets purchased in advance may be
picked up at the ticket table after 6pm on January 12. All donations
are final. No refunds. Exchanges are limited. Donations to Free the
Midwives are not tax-deductible.

The Business of Being Born takes a close look at the birthing
practices in the United States. It spins a telling story about the
history of midwifery and the smear campaign against it, as well as
detailing the common procedures for birth in hospitals. It is a must
see for any pregnant couple as it explains all the options available
to women in this day and age when it comes to birth. Interviews of
leading midwives and doulas and of doctors from every angle are
included and they add unique perspectives as the film follows Abby
Epstein and Ricki Lake's search for the truths about birth today.
