Heck, I spend a lot of time online but my kids are well taken care of. I cannot believe the stupidity of these parents.

Be careful - the thread in NCE got pulled yesterday.

I agree - I only spend time online when my DD wants to watch a show or is playing with toys. She's fed plenty and we interact a lot. We're making brownies as soon as her show is over then we're going to ride her trike.

I fully believe in 'net addiction, but I think there was more going on here than that. I can't fathom that level of addiction to anything.

That's horrible.

Reminds me of a guy I knew who used to have a nice flat, a job, he was doing his studies in university and engaged to my friend.

Introduce World of Warcraft.

Two months later he was out of a job, my friend had left him, he was getting in serious trouble at uni and getting evicted. This guy seriously spent 24/7 playing that game. He'd sit there all day, one bottle of Coke on one side to drink from and one on the other side to pee in. He'd get out once every two weeks to buy food (and more Coke, of course).

I'll never understand how that can happen. I mean, no game is really that good.

Wow, that's really sad. I can't imagine being so attached to a game that you don't even want to get up to go pee.

Well..technically there isn't. I had removed the thread as I was going to split it into two threads but it is a bit of a mess and I keep getting lost in it. :

OMG -this makes me so sad. :

I know a couple like that -they could play EQ online all weekend and barely slept and ate. Their house is FILTHY and roach infested and they don't even notice. Thankfully they don't have any children.

Hey, Abimommy has a life, give her a chance . (I think it would have been less hassle left intact, but that's generally my opinion here anyway. ) Now you have a third one to merge!
