Well, it has only been a week since I got my BFP and I am now have pink CM and AF like cramps.... I emailed my OB office, but I am not even sure what they could do for me at this point, I think it is probably too early for an ultrasound to be helpful. And even though all I want to do is cry, life much march on, DD1 has preschool and there are chores that really need to be done today... this sucks. This is not like my last m/c at all, but it also has not felt like my viable pregnancies either...

Your OB office can check your HCG to see if it's doubling. That can definitely be reassuring. Can you try to put your feet up and get some rest? I know how scary it is to see spotting. Hang in there! *hugs*

I am sure they will suggest HCG, regardless of the outcome they will want to do a few. When I m/c last time they checked it until it came back negative.

The bleeding is bright red and requiring a pad now... Not looking good.

The nurse practitioner called back (I generally prefer to speak to her over any of the OBs in the office, I am glad she called). She said that 50% of woman have a light or even normal 'period' very early in pregnancy... 50% seems like an astonishing number. Honestly though, I was not looking for false hope... Now I just have to live the weekend in limbo. I thought if I kept bleeding heavy I would know for sure it was a m/c, but according to her that is not always the case. Right now it is not quite as heavy as the heavy day of my period... They are not going to do anything right now. If the bleeding tapers off without being heavier or longer than my period then I just wait and go to my first prenatal and if it keeps getting worse I assume they will do HCG tests next week, but I am not sure. I am supposed to call on Monday. I was not really having any symptoms, I was a little nauseous yesterday afternoon and I have been very bloated the past two weeks. The bloating is almost completely gone yesterday afternoon and today. This sucks... I feel ok if I am not talking about it, I need to pull it together, I have to go get DD from preschool!

Plenty of women have had spotting/bleeding and went on to have a healthy baby. I did with dd #2 at 9 weeks and 16 weeks. They never could find out a reason why.
You're in my thoughts.

Testing again yourself might give you a clue as to what is going on. Depending on the darkness of the line if might tell you how high your hcg is. I know that was one clue with my first loss. It may or may not give you peace of mind though.

Oh no, I'm so sorry you're dealing with this stress. Like others say, it could be fine, but either way the limbo can't be easy. I am hoping with everything I have that it is fine.

Not to give false hope, but there ARE other reasons for spotting and bleeding. My cousin just had her baby, but went to the ER at 10 weeks with massive bleeding, turned out she had a hemmorage. Baby was fine. Bedrest and time healed it.

Anyway. Been there...I'm thinking about you and praying for you.

I took a HPT tonight and it was negative... I was already pretty sure though. I hope I have gotten all the crying out of the way already. Good luck to everyone, H&H pregnancy for all who are left

Thank you everyone, the virtual hugs do help!

Blanca - even though I am very sad, I am ready! I don't think we will wait to TTC. With our last m/c we waited once cycle (although I am not sure I ovulated anyway) but this was a much earlier loss and we do not want to wait. I am hoping it does not take too long.
