Other Non-vax mamas in NY?

The bill just passed to remove the religious exemption, the governor is expected to sign it, and I'm in a panic. I already posted in two other places but I want to try here, too. Does anyone have more info? When will the law go into effect? Are my kids going to be kicked out of high school?

Support only, please!

I just saw that. I'm in even more of a panic now. If there are other mamas here who don't vax, I'd appreciate hearing about your plans, especially if you have any info about alternative schools that aren't subject to this law, don't require vax, and aren't cost-prohibitive.

It seems like homeschooling will be our only option.

Brooklyn Mama here. GUTTED and furious and so sad for my kids.

Would love to connect with other local mamas to hear what you plan to do. As I said in another thread, it looks like home schooling or finding a sympathetic doctor to help them "catch-up" are our only options.

Because I am NOT doing that to my kids. Not in light of the most recent evidence.

To hell with these people.

Queens mama here. Honestly I'm not sure what we're going to do, but unless the bill is struck down or amended (thank God for Robert Kennedy suing them) it looks like we don't have much choice. We will have to homeschool or leave the state, and honestly we're seriously thinking about moving to Jersey or Pennsylvania. There are 3 more horrifying bills to be voted on before the legislative session ends and they are to make the flu vaccine mandatory, to make the HPV vaccine mandatory and to make it so minors can be given the HPV vaccine without parental knowledge or consent. If this all gets turned into law, I'm honestly going to do my damnedest to move. If they get away with this, they'll get away with anything.

I believe NJ and CT also have pending legislation, so we are feeling like rats in a maze right now

My husband needs to put in at least another handful of years at his current POE, otherwise we'd be in TX already!
