I am trying to find some kind of shade or blind that would fit so that you could open the top half of the window, but have the bottom half covered. I dont want cafe style curtains or anyting, and I still want the option of being able to open the bottom portion as well. My husband was just planning on hanging two shades...one at the top and one at the middle, but I think thats going to look really bulky. Any other ideas??

Here:

Cordless Top Down Bottom Up
Lower your shades from the top to let in sunlight, while they stay closed at the bottom to preserve your privacy. You can also raise your shades from the bottom in conventional fashion, or position both top and bottom at any level you desire! Lowering and positioning is accomplished by gently pushing up or pulling down an unobtrusive handle. Minimum width is 16". Maximum width is 96". Maximum height is 84"

You can probably find this type of shade most places, or order them.
