We previously shared the 2018 Birth Becomes Her contest winners in the categories of pregnancy and labor. These breathtaking photos capture the true emotion of the waiting period, the quiet moments just before becoming a mom. As excited and nervous as one is to become a mother, no amount of advice or childbirth classes can truly prepare a woman for the transformation that is known as motherhood.

Today we share with you the winners in the birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding categories. Photographers capture the intimate moments that mothers and their babies meet for the first time. They also capture the raw beauty of the postpartum body and the sacred moments of breastfeeding.

Birth Becomes Her, celebrates these moments and the photographers who capture them. This year, their 2018 annual photo contest received close to 1,000 submissions. Several international judges selected their top choices and over 22,000 people voted for the people's choice photos in the following categories: maternity, labor, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding.
