DS has been waking in the night the past 2 nights with crying and loud screaming in between the sobs. Someone on here suggested night terrors because of teething. He does have some teeth getting ready to come through, but today he came down with 102 degree fever
and had a strange episode of (i guess ) night terrors during his nap.

He was napping on my lap. Had fallen asleep not even for 5 minutes and then jumped (almost jumped right out of my lap) and yelled and then woke up crying... I'm so worried about my lo, b/c he's never acted this way before and it's been 2.5 weeks of very bad sleep for us both. Im just wondering, do you think the pain of the fever caused him to jump like that?

I don't believe in giving tylenol to lower a fever when the fever is there to help the body kill viruses and bacteria. I did give him some homeopathic medicine (hylands) and it seemed to help for a half hour (before he went down for the nap).

It would help me feel better to get some experienced advice on this. He does go to a chiro regularly and we will be visiting her when my hubby gets home from work...

I bet the fever is also from the teething. I don't know if teething causes night terrors, but it (teething) does make my DS wake up crying from naps and at night from the pain.

I would try a little tylenol, even if its half the rec dose. It will help his teething pain and lower the fever.

He has jumped 3 times since my last post. It seems he falls asleep and then the pain wakes him up...

I dont have tylenol in the house right now... He has never taken it before. Is there anything else I can do to help him until dh gets home(30 mins)?

maybe try a cold wet cloth for him to chew on? DS always likes that when he's teething.

Hope your little boy gets some relief soon!
