yeah I think it's like this for a lot of women. I had to change styles of tampons to find one I liked. even then, it would only work at the beginning, when my cervic would change near the end of my period it would no longer stay in

(then I started havign intense itchiness and terrible cramps realizing that the tampon chemicals where causing me much pain so I switched to cloth pads)

you could try "instead" or a "keeper" and see if that works better. (though both take getting used to)

andyes theoretically kegels would help. but you could also just be very different internally and nay find that tampons just don't fit you well anymore.

You might consider seeing a physical therapist who specializes in women's health. I really wish I would have done that last time and definitely plan to do it this time. They can really speed the process of getting things back to normal.
It sounds like your pelvic muscles are really week. Do you leak urine too? Remember to do your kegels religiously to tone your pelvic floor!
I second trying a different tampon brand... some "blossom" out like an umbrella and some just get thick all the way down. Gotta find one that fits your vagina

I also used to use an Instead but that was pre-baby. But I remember it fitting up there quite snug.
