Hi...I have an 11 month old dd who hasn't had a bowel movement in 6 days. She's still primarily breastfed. She won't eat anything except rice and broccoli which she gets twice a day generally but the broccoli is new...started 7 days ago. So her diet is still primarily breast milk. Is this normal? She used to go daily. This is a first for her. She finds random things let behind by her siblings like paper and things...drives me nuts! I don't think she's gotten anything recently but who knows. Any advice?

Thanks!!!

You could try a little coconut oil. I would sometimes give my toddler a teaspoon of coconut oil and it would get him to poop.

Dried fruit, fruit juice, magnesium, or just sodium ascorbate can help move stubborn bowels.

Children's laxatives are recommended only for little ones age 24 months and older.

You can also use a sliver of ivory soap as a suppository to soften the descending stools.
