I love my Doc so much, he is just the sweetest most laid back OB I have ever met. My last visit he started me on Procardia, for my blood/pressure.. I was only taking one pill a day, when I went this morning it was higher then last time *sigh* 150/80, but after laying for a few minutes it went down. He decided too raise my Meds too twice a day, and I have too go back in 2wks too see how that is working for me. Ilost 6 pounds, which does not surprise me at all... I lose during the first and second tri, and pack it on in the last.. Sop no biggie there. We had such a time trying too get the babies heartbeat, Have NO I dea what the BPM were, as it would swim into the light
for just a second or tow, then disappear, but it sounded nice and stong.
All in all, it was a nice visit

I see I am the first for the spotlight, I have a family reunion thing in like 30 minutes, so I promise too get too those as soon as I get home

Plus there is another issue, I would love too talk too you ladies about... Get your thoughts on it, but not much time too type all that either.. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I have high bp too, I am on Labetalol. I was on 800 mg when I got pg but since finding out my bp has gotten lower and lower. Now it is regularly below 120/75 and I am on 400 mg hoping to get down to 200 or less. I don't know if it's because I was depressed before due to my mc or what, this pregnancy has done wonders for my bp! Do you do your own monitoring as well?? I do mine daily and right before I go the dr.'s I always check it and give them my reading because no matter what it is always higher when they take it. Just a thought! Glad your appointment went well!

I have HBP too, did with each of my boys. I'm convinced it's white coat syndrome lol With my first it was the highest 150/90 until 37 weeks, when the midwives came to our first home visit. It was 120/70 then.

This pregnancy it's been lower, 130/80 each visit. I work in a hospital so I have it checked daily, each time it's 130/80. I'm assuming it will stay higher until' our first home visit.

Hope you had a great reunion

Hi! I'm really happy your appointment went well! I'm sorry about the blood pressure though... is this something you're treating even when not pregnant? I had PIH with my last one and would have runs of abnormally rapid heart rate (SVT), so I was on Verapamil starting at about 31 weeks. Hopefully I won't have trouble this time because last time I even had to see a cardiologist!

My bean's heart beat did the same thing at my 12 week check, she would hear one beat and then nothing! But the same thing happened last time too.

I do check mine at home. I have borrowed my Dads B/P cuff. It does get pretty high by thte end of the night..If I am chilling out, and not moving around alot. it seems too be ok, but if I get up and move around alot.. it can spike up.
I know my midwife thought I should have stayed on B/P meds after I had Nic, for the long term. It never really went back too the norm 120/80, is what they want it too be, but always stayed in thwe 140's/70-86... I am not fretting over this issue at all. Everything seemed too be ok with Nic, I made it too 38 wks, and so far the upped doasge seems too be working..
