<p>Hi mamas.  I have been so busy with work the past month, I have barely been able to be on here.  I love coming to check up on everyone, but never get the chance to say "hello!"</p>

<p>I have been feeling good up until this past weekend.  I have started to get this really weird achy feeling on the left side of my lower abdomen.  I don't remember this at all with DD1.  Can someone give me some insight on maybe what it could be?  It only comes and gos...nothing continuous, just sometimes the way I sit or the way my pants sit...maybe....I guess I am completely unsure, but it sure is kind of freaking me out.  We heard the heartbeat at 9 weeks and the doctor said it was strong and sounded normal, so I hate to even think the worst....but I am completely out of ideas.</p>

<p>Any insight to this worried mama?</p>

<p>Round ligament pain maybe? This seems to be around the right time for it. </p>

<p>I second the round ligament pain idea. That's what it sounds like to me. It's supposed to be more pronounced in subsequent pregnancies, so maybe that's why you're noticing it more with this one?</p>

When is your edd? Mine is 1/29 and I am just 11w, 3d so if you were 13w that would put your edd around 1/14. If that is the case (not that anyone cares what DDC you post in. My edd is in Jan, and Im thinking Ill deliver in Feb, so I will stay here.) I might ask the ladies in the Jan DDC just to see if any other 13 weekers are experiencing similar pains.

Thank you all for your comments.  I should have been a little more specific on the 13 weeks part....I will be 13 weeks on Sunday.  My edd is January 22.  As I posted a while back, I went to the doctor and he changed my due date when I was, what I thought was 9 weeks, so that is why I continue to post in this DDC.  I figured my due date would have been Feb 1/2, but after going to the doctor I'll just use his edd and see where we go from there.  </p>

<p>I was thinking maybe it was something to do with my sleeping.  I am really trying hard to sleep on my left side, but most of the time wake up on my back.  I am normally a back sleeper, so I guess my body just gravitates back to that.  It just feels like a stretching sensation...especially like this morning after I woke up.  It's like I have to slowly move out of bed and then put my tummy back where it belongs on my body  </p>

<p>That does sound like round ligament pain.  Also, I don't think you have to worry about sleeping on your back yet.  They say that when the uterus is big and heavy it can compress the vein beneath it, but that's not until well into the 2nd tri.  Personally I slept however I was comfortable last time around, right up until the end, but you definitely don't need to worry yet about sleeping position.</p>

<p>I've been feeling the same thing...not a pain, really, but a dull achiness/pulling on my left side, starting low and going up to about 2 inches in from my hip bone.  It started yesterday, and it comes and goes.  We saw the heartbeat on Friday, so everything is supposedly fine, but this is worrying me.  Of course, everything worries me after several losses.</p>

<p>I read somewhere that RLP is more of a sharp pain, not like what I have....maybe it's just the muscles stretching?</p>

<p>Any advice would be welcome.</p>

<p>I've been feeling occasionally achey on the lower left side of my abdomen as well.  It's weird that it's only on one side.  </p>
