Hi all, it was suggested I x-post this here.

Dd is 15 months and has never ever been a good sleeper. She wakes up several times a night and is often restless while sleeping, moving all over, etc.
She also doesn't eat, a few tablespoons worth of food is considered a good day and she only nurses a few times a day.
She has dark circles under eyes. This could be caused by the lack of sleep or the allergies.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to know if there are intolerance's? I appreciate it!
Thanks!

You could get her tested (not as accurate as elimination-challenge), or you could try removing foods (from both your diets since you're still nursing). Dairy, gluten, soy, corn are the most likely culprits. You could take out one or all of them for a couple of weeks and see where it gets you. Dark circles, small appetite, and not a good sleeper sounds like intolerances to me, though we were just talking about lack of appetite... was it zinc deficiency? Someone else will chime in here.

I would just start with an elimination diet - it's cheaper, more accurate, and less invasive (no poking skin).

You can also look to your own nutritional status and try to address any deficiencies that you could be passing on to dd. I've found that being up on my vitamins makes a HUGE difference in how much dd is reacting to foods. We can help you out on that if you don't know where to start.

Thanks! I can use all the help I can get. I'm not totally sure where to start.
