I went for my first follow-up with the OB today. There are no signs of infection and the heartbeat is normal and strong. However, there is very little amniotic fluid, which is the reason I'm not leaking very much. The baby is so small that it's not creating a whole lot and when it does I am just leaking it out. It was also not moving much on the ultrasound, but I have felt it moving all day. I guess I just keep waiting and see what happens. I've never felt so drained in all my life...and I used to be in the Army...LOL.

not moving much on the U/S can mean baby is sleeping if you've been feeling movement and heartbeat is good then it's not in and of itself a sign for concern. keep taking care of yourself, we're all pulling for you here.

Have you tried increasing your fluids to a pretty much ridiculous amount? And laying down as much as possible with your hips elevated. I know you're doing pretty much everything. Just wondernig if there is anything else at this point besides waiting.

Also, just had a thought... zinc and vit c are supposed to make super strong amniotic membranes. Worth a shot?

We just had our ultrasound and the Dr.'s description said that he "is the inventor of techniques to reseal ruptured membranes." I didn't actually see him but I thought you might be interested. I've been thinking about you Jennifer, and can only imagine how all-consuming the anxiety must be. The strong heartbeat sounds very positive though, and if it brings you any comfort, our little one moved not. at. all. during our 20 week scan last week (which I think lasted about 30 minutes or so).<br><br>

I cannot imagine the constant worry I would be trying to fight off! No one would ever picture this happening to them. I'm sorry you and your baby are going through this and thrilled that things are hanging on!
