...and I'm nervous.

I'm due December 28th and am new to the board. This is my first pregnancy. I've been a little worried lately because I've had some faint brown spotting. I have heard that this is normal, but then I've also heard that you can't be too sure. So I think I'm anxious in general just to get through the 1st trimester with a healthy fetus. What has been concerning me (aside from the faint spotting I had) was that I haven't had any m/s yet. I am about 8 wks, 3 days. I know I shouldn't be complaining about not vomiting, but I'm paranoid nonetheless. I am really fatigued, have some nausea here and there and generally "feel" pregnant.

Anyway, I just keep worrying that everything is OK because I haven't had any proof yet that this pregnancy actually exists (other than 3 HPTs stating "Pregnant") and my symptoms. I'm really anxious to find a heartbeat and to get through the next few weeks! I think I'm mostly worried of miscarrying and not knowing.

Welcome to MDC and the DDC !! I totally understand your anxiety, I feel the same way about not having any confirmation besides some positive tests, because I haven't either. It's so hard before you get some outside confirmation that everything is on track. Just for some reassurance about your spotting, I had breakthrough bleeding, bright red blood, 3 times during my first trimester when I was pregnant with DD and she just turned 4. As for the m/s, again past experience was feeling a little sick here and there with DD but I never threw up and this time around, same thing, I *kinda* feel nauseous for a few minutes at a time, but then it passes and I am fine and I am 10 weeks on Thursday. So I am trying to reassure myself that it's ok, not all pregnant women get bad morning sickness, my sweet DD is the proof. You are tired and feel pregnant, at this point those are good signs. Whether it's your first or not, I think we all worry about the little one and are anxious for some kind of reassurance, I know I am and as I have said on other threads before, I don't see a midwife until June 3rd (that date is burned in my brain forever!!) and until then, I am just trying to hang tight and think good thoughts for my little bean. Good luck and of course keep us posted!!

I never had a bit of m/s with either of my boys, but I know how hard it is not to worry. Hopefully the weekend will get here quickly for you and you'll get some peace of mind!
