2 in diapers is easy!

just wanted to say, i was scared, but it is really easy.

tristan has completely returned to diapers since the birth, i dont blame him its been a tough week. we just throw everything in together and it comes out nice and clean and soft! i can sit with kassi on the bed and nurse and fold diapers.

were changing about 8 a day on tristan and ~30~ a day on kassi, of course were washing every single day. tristan is 22 months and kassi is 6 days old.

i honestly dont know what i was afraid of.

so anyone who is about to take the plunge, fear not!

Wonderful. I'm so happy for you over in babyheaven.
It was easy for me too and I thought it was going to be rough also.

I was wondering since my DS has gone back to diapers again too, but ... he is using the potty again sometimes too! YAY! I figure he'll probably go back to refusing to potty at all once the babe comes for a little while.

Thanks for letting us know

Yep! It's pretty easy
I was scared as well. Now for cloth diapering TWO for over a year I am more than willing for Maddy to be potty learned!

I'm happy to hear that it's pretty easy. I'll be in the same spot withing a few weeks. I was kind of afraid.
Yay!

Good, cause Libby's still little (18 months) and I have <5 weeks till delivery.... so it's gonna be a *LONG* time with 2 in dipes!!!

Well
on me. I haven't had the easiest time. Actually, the baby diapering has been fine, but its Will's system that has fallen apart.

I should have clued in and washed daily or twice daily. I overstuffed my wash and that caused problems. And I am in the process of having a simpler system. That'll help.

But, CAN YOU IMAGINE the waste and cost of 'sposing a newborn? Crazy!

Mama,

You make tandeming look easy too, and your brith story is just awesome.

Thanks for posting and enjoy your babymoon with your lovely daughter and adorable son (your DH isn't bad either)

Karla
It is easy, and for me a lot easier washing than hauling trash bags full of sposies out the the curb :LOL

Btw, she is beautiful
(as is your son) and I hope you are enjoying your babymoon.

Yeah, I was scared, too. But it really hasn't been that bad. Maybe because there are at least 2x a week (if not more), where I have 3 in diapers. And my niece poops 2x every day I have her - without fail.

Man, those days, it's just a revolving diaper change.

I'm glad you are having an easy time of it and a magical babymoon it sounds like.
Congrats again.

I have a 3 month and almost 3 year old and I also have to wash every day. It was fine at first, but in all honesty, it's starting to get me down, partly because our laundry is kind of a pain to get to, and there's 2 wash and 2 dryer cycles I have to keep going back down to with 2 kids needing my attention all the time. If I don't keep on top of it, the little one runs out after just 2 days. I mean, I still love using the cloth. I wouldn't use disposables. Then I would just be going down there all the time to throw things out! If it wasn't that my dh is SO good about it, there were be dirty cloth dipes collecting for sure.

That's good you have his help. My dh doesn't help, but luckily my washer/dryer are on the same floor as the the diaper changing station.

Just wondering, what is your main stash? Does your dh do prefolds? My dh will use prefolds, but complains all the time about them. Which is funny, because he is AWESOME at the snappi. I don't know how he gets such a good fit. Isn't that funny?

Anyway, using mainly prefolds has helped me keep my sanity.

Thanks Julie. We use a lot of prefolds. Also Sugarpeas fitteds for the babe because the poop is getting more and prolific and the fitteds keep it all in. Also we prefer wool, so there is less mess that way. We can tend to run out of both, but there's always something in the dryer usually, so it's no biggie.

That's great about your dh and the snappi, even though he complains.
Mine is totally cool with it too, but it's never the first thing he grabs. He likes the fitteds even more than the aio's.

That's a great idea though. I think we need to do what it takes to get through the various "stages". That's where a varied stash comes in handy....

I also thought that it was going to be hard to diaper 2 kids but it's been great. I think that the fact that hubby help with the laundry helps lots. We wash about every 2-3 days.
OMG you're kidding right? I've been wanting to post a "I can't keep up with the *&^#^@ laundry!". Maybe it's b/c I have more milk than will fit in ruby's tummy and she throws up frequently so I have lots of babyclothes to wash too but I tell you I am doing so many loads every single day it's driving me batty
But OTOH I'm really happy it's going well for you! (())

I have found it super easy, too. I do wash every 24-36 hours, but I enjoy it.
