Thought I'd share a couple of body awareness things I've discovered recently.<br>
The first is GREAT.<br><br>
I could never triple void when peeing. I've tried and tried and it just doesn't work for me. The result--me peeing 3-4X a night when pregnant. So one day when I didn't feel like reaching around to wipe from front to back I took a pad of toilet paper to dab (so as not to spread the wrong bacteria to the wrong areas) and I noticed that I could still feel the urge to pee as I pressed the tp to my urethral opening. Well, after a few seperate times noticing this I actually let myself let the additional pee go into the tp as I was holding it there. If I let the pressure go I couldn't pee, so I had to be putting a bit of pressure on my urethreal meatus. ANYWAY (long story short) I didn't have to pee until 5 am that night and I only had to go ONCE!!!<br>
I am fully convinced that I discovered magic.<br><br>
The second thing is just that as I feel a contraction if I let my pelvic muscles go I feel more cervical sensations. You know, those sharp, making-cervical-change-sensations? So I'm wondering if making the consious effort to relax the perineum during a contraction helps to let you have efface and dialate more quickly.<br><br>
Anyway.<br>
Thought someone might care/like to know/find it interesting or whatever

Hmmmmmm... interesting. More on peeing more...<br><br>
One thing I tried lately is sitting on the toilet for like 10 mins. just to see what would happen. It's unreal! I was getting so fed up with getting up 3x a night, I was joking w/dp that I was going to "just sit on the toilet all night" and so I sat there for a while, and couldn't believe how much more can pee after the first round if just left to go... I didn't get up til morning after that!<br><br>

OMG, if I could get up to pee less - ! I was in bed from 8pm to 8am last night BUT I got up to pee about 4x. I also have to breath through my mouth while sleeping and I either wake myself up with snoring or a dry mouth. So I am just not getting long periods of restful sleep. It's pathetic. But if I could pee less, ahhhh...

I have found the same thing with the cervical twinges! I think it makes sense, allows more of the pressure and weight to push there or something.<br><br>
I had a pregnant pal tell me about the peeing thing too, but really didn't find it to do anything for me.<br><br>

I hadn't really thought about the peeing thing but that's what I do and I never have to get up at night to pee.<br><br>
I've also been doing the pelvic relaxation thing during ctx. Most of the time I only feel the ctx in my cervix and nowhere else. Hmm. I keep wondering if much is happening with that as far as dilation but it's too high/posterior I can't tell.
