I just need some words of encouragement, maybe some BTDT stories b/c I am freaking out!!! DD needs to have some serious dental work done under anesthesia on the 23rd

Is it better not to tell her what will be happening beforehand or should I explain what is going to happen? I don't want to make her scared or apprehensive (if she isn't already picking it up from me). She is 29 months.

Thanks

I would tell her she's going to go to sleep and the dentist will fix her teeth. I'm sure she'll do great! Light sedation did not work for my dd, just made her more anxious. We ended up just having a family dentist pull her four front teeth with only local and she did great. A few wimpers and one scream with the novacaine going in. She also had GA for an eye issue. I'll post a link to that thread.
