I am having a really hard time with my almost 2 1/2 year old now that we have a new babe, 10 days old. He has always had tantrums and been a sensitive and high needs guy but now it is over the top with crying, hitting, throwing things at me and the babe and overall unhappiness. I feel so bad for him and don't feel I am doing the best job at handling it all. He has woken up at 5:30 am several times screaming over nothing and everything. He is testing every limit over and over. He does best when he gets to go out with his dad to the park or beach for awhile but often falls apart when he gets home. I really want to not use time outs and use positive parenting but am at my wits end and of course am hearing from relatives and friends that he needs more discipline. I think he needs time and more love and patience but I don't have the patience part all the time. Any advice or thoughts?

Going nuts,
Isa
