I guess we'll see what the MW has to say on Friday. My DH is gone for 5 weeks, and I really don't want to talk about this to family and friends until after the next appointment. But I am feeling a little anxious (rare for me) and am hoping for a little support in the meantime. I know my belly changes shape depending on the babe's position, and I've been measuring 3 or 4 cm big for awhile. But this number shocked me. Luckily I'm feeling a dazed most of the time, due to all these hormones...<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/dizzy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Dizzy">:<br>

Wow! Do you think twins are a possibility? Or do you just carry differently?

That's what my MW asked me. I don't think there's more than one in there, due to the pattern of movements. I do have a VERY low pubic bone and alot of stomach muscles though. We did a U/S at 7 weeks to date the pregnancy. She only spotted one then...

I had the same thing almost at my last visit. I was 27 weeks measuring around 33 I think. I always measure large... I think for me it's because I'm short and it has nowhere else for it to go. I had 2 ultrasounds with this pregnancy.. so I'm pretty sure that I'm not having twins but I suppose it could always be a possibility. I think things should be fine.. if you have been measuring ahead for some time now it's probably how the baby was sitting and whatnot. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/hug.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="hug">

I just don't think so. I was pretty doggone sure of the conception date (we had an accident), and the ultrasound supposedly confirmed this (off by one day)... My cycles are slightly erratic and generally long though, averaging 34 days.

I just got back from my appointment and I'm 30.5 weeks pregnant, but measured 35! At 27.5 weeks I measured 32 and I'm not having twins! My OB is not concerned, although she did say she hopes that the baby will be under 10 this time since I'm going VBAC. My last two have been big and posterior.<br>
I think some people just carry "big", I look like I swallowed a basketball!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"><br>
