I had u/s # 2 today....it was soooo amazing! I had one a week ago @ 5w3d too. I can't believe how much growth has happened in one week!

This week @ 6w3d, the gestational sac was so much bigger and the yolk sac was bigger too....the best part of course is that we were able to see the baby this time! He/she is measuring about 5 days ahead of my actual dates and we got to both see and hear a heart beat...122 BPM!!!

My RE was so happy with all of this! She said everything looks so great and healthy and the heart rate is perfectly healthy....PHEW! I was really nervous last night waiting for today to come.

I also made my first MW appt. today. I go to meet her on Monday and get my first pre-natal exam, etc.. with her. I'll still be with my RE for a couple more weeks but my RE really wanted me to get going with an OB or MW ASAP.

I'm so excited!!!!

Also...for some reason, I think I'm pg with a boy!

How exciting! I wish these first months of pregnancy weren't so nerve wracking for all of us... I'm glad you had good news!

Isn't it incredible? I was extremely resistant to having weekly ultrasounds with my RE, but I have so fully enjoyed seeing the development. Congratulations on such a reassuring, wonderful u/s!

I'm amazed that you got in to see a MW so early. I called many practices, weeks ago, and the earliest anyone would see me, even knowing I'm having twins, is 3/13!

Anyway, I wanted to share in your excitement! Hooray for baby!

An RE is a Reproductive Endocrinologist AKA Fertility Specialist.

I got pg using injectable follitropins and an intrauterine insemination. Usually an RE will closely monitor you in early pg with frequent u/s and b/w until they feel everything is fine and you can be released to an OB or MW.

So my u/s was par for the course but....yes! very reasurring!!
