It sounds like a Canadian goose I swear! It kind of worries me though because it sounds like someone gasping and choking for air- but he can breathe just fine, at least that's how it looks to me. Frequently after he makes his goose noise he will spit up a little bit. He'll also make it at the beginning of a feeding when my milk lets down, and it seems to overwhelm him sometimes. He spits up at least once a night in his sleep. I know because his hair will be damp and sometimes he'll have white crusty stuff streaked across his cheek.
Is he ok???

DS #1 had reflux and definitely spit up as you described in your post. DS #2 is 4 weeks old and he isn't spitting up as frequently as your child BUT he definitely makes the Canada Goose sound! DS seems fine in every way and I'd assume your DS is too but if you have any questions - bring it up with your family doc! HTH
