She rears back and screams when I try to get her to latch on. She is showing some other signs of teething - drooling, sucking her hands a lote, putting everything in her mouth - could this be one as well? She otherwise seems perfectly happy, no signs of illness. She is kind of young for teething but I don't know what else to think. Any ideas? Its so frustrating that she dosn't want to nurse!

It could certianly be teething. It could also be ears. It's so hard at that age! Any other signs? Has she had any bottles?

We had some of this. We had to switch positions. As soon as ds had the slightest bit of control, we started nursing exclusively in the side lying position w/ no distractions like tv or dad, or whatever. I would try switching positions/location and maybe the teething tablets. HTH

Thanks for the responses. She is doing much better today. Boy, that was a stressful couple of days. The only thing that worked was walking around while she was latching on. I also felt like my supply was low the last couple days, but maybe it is just evening out as I have had some oversupply. On top of all this, I think she is intolerant to dairy so I just cut that out! Sheesh!
