this charting thing is a real pain. I had been getting weird temps, as well as some consistant ones. Neurotic that I am, I did write them all down. And now I don't know which ones to put onto my chart. .... The O day might or might not be consistant with the OPK result... Is it possible to O before the positive on the OPK (2 days before...) ? Can you tell I am in the neurotic waiting mind frame?

all around

You know what is funny....I have NO idea what is going on with my cycle. Not one clue. :LOL Which is pretty okay with me. I would have to look to see what day I was even on.

Okay - I looked. cd 10.

Don't have a clue if I am going to ovulate or not...

Hello ladies. I am cd 10. I am kind of just letting things happen as they will this month. Or at least that is the plan. I am gearing up for a hard month with Arawyn's one year aniversary, and Christmas. So I really can't handle thinking too much about TTC. Still dh and I had a nice romp Saturday night.

I am finishing up my RAK gifts. I was wondering if I could get the addy's again, I seem to have lost them. : Any way I better go, I am supposed to be in the shower.

I only just saw the new thread, so I'm re-posting...
Korin, so sorry...I hope your RE will be super helpful.
I'm in the same boat. After some serious doubts because af lasted one day (not even 24h, one day!), I got a beta and it's negative. So I got some robitussin and ginseng (for dh)...
Anyone know how much robitussin to take?

warning: vent against the receptionist at my RE's...she actually laughed at me when I asked if there was anything before 9 or after 5 on the day I have to go in for my next U/S. That woman is always rude and unhelpful and so fake: Oh, you're WEL-come! she said at the end of the call...She was also trying to charge me a copay earlier today for the lab work, which I did not owe. The nurse, then the doctor herself told her no copay, but she kept insisting "you have insurance , dont you?"...aaarrggghh! I dont know what her problem is. I hope she'll win the lottery or something and be happy!

Velvet: I am sorry you are having such heavy periods. It really is awful. Up until last month I always used Tampax Super Plus tampons, and Always Maximum protection maxi's. (they are new, and made for us slightly larger girls.) But this month I used my sea sponge tampons, and Fuzzi Bunz mama pads the long size. I didn't like the Fb mama pads real well though, so I kept some and sold the ones I didn't use. They just didn't seem to fit me right Kwim? I did have to resort to using tampons for overnight on my heaviest day though : . Other than that the sponge tampons seemed to work really well. I did have to rinse them really frequently on my heavy day though so its a good thing I was staying home that day. I am thinking about looking into a keeper or diva cup, but they are pretty expensive. I think the other thing that made my period lighter was the supplements I have been taking. I am taking Vitex still, and also I added Natural Genesis Noni for women with Wild Yam and Black Cohosh. I won't be using it again this cycle though because I remember reading that Black Cohosh was a no no for pregnancy. So we will see if my cycle stays lighter and shorter or not. So how was that for way to much info.

Marie -- 2 tbs of robotussin (2x a day or only 1x a day, depending on how it works with you). Basically, I just take a glug of it once or twice a day.

I would do it from when you first start seeing fertilly type mucus, and continue until one or two days after you O.

Shannon I've been thinking of you and also SweetTeach as we come up on December.

Black Cohosh and Wild Yam are both things you can take *before* you O, but I wouldn't take them after ovulation. (Susun Weed claims wild yam can act as a natural form of birth control if taken every day in one's cycle. But if it is taken only for a short time in the cycle, it helps with hormonal balancing.)

I am sending you the list of addresses again

Korin

Hi all. Bad cold for me and dd has her first ear infection and is wheezing to boot! Lovely.

Anyway. Sorry for those found by af. It just sucks. Korin, I hope the RE is super helpful and has a nice receptionist. Yikes Marie! She sounds as bad as the nurse at my RE with whom I had the following exchange:

Me: Hi I need to get a refill of my progesterone suppositories faxed to the pharmacy.
Nurse: Is this an IVF cycle for you?
Me: No
Nurse: Clomid and IUI?
Me (feeling a little exasperated): No, no my problem isn't getting pregnant...
Nurse: (cutting me off, snottily): Oh lucky you!
Me: (through clenched teeth) It's that they never stick.
Nurse: (flustered) Oh well then. What's the fax number of the pharmacy?

I mean WTF?? Did she think I was just taking progesterone for fun? I know recurrent m/c is not most of what this office does, but I don't think that's an excuse for being so insensitive. Oh boy...how did this turn in to my rant?

Lots to Shannon and SweetTeach. ST: I'm holding on to my dream for you!

Alexis: When is your birthday? 3 of my best friends are December babies. Welcome to your 30s!! Mine have been soo much better than my 20s, and I think most people feel that way.

Hope you're enjoying your trip Adina. I have never been to the Pacific Northwest and I really want to go. It sounds like your moving there?

OK, off to clean the kitchen.

I just looked at the calendar and I am CD 23. Maybe 8dpo? Nose is too stuffed to temp even if I wanted to!

Barbee, welcome! I'm sorry for your loss in July. You are not alone with the long cycles, that's for sure!

ST -- it's Saturday December 4. ellie'smom - you are far FAR more gracious than i would have been to that woman. I believe profanity would have been involved if i had talked to her.
Hello everyone!

It's been two weeks since I last posted - seemed like every time I went on-line the MDC site was down . . . not a good excuse, but I missed you women!

First things first, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the RAKs!!![/SIZE] Two weeks ago exactly DH was away on a week-long business trip, it was the first day of AF (with the most horrible cramps I've had in years, grabbing my gut pain), Boquito was scheduled to be put to sleep in a few days, and I was feeling generally sorry for myself. Then, I came home to TWO RAKs!!!! I got lovely dark chocolate (good for af), lavender soap (wonderfully smelling), a Kokopelli necklace (which I put on immediately and slept with that night), and a very nice note about Boquito (who is still with us - read more below). I also got a beautiful beaded stich holder - which I don't know how to use but I have been hinting that I want knitting lessons for Christmas so I am sure I will learn. I only hope to live up to the accomplishments of all the fabulous knitters here. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

PERSONALS:

Ellie'smom - Your nurse sucks!! Why would it be any business of hers to pass any type of judgment on your medical issues? Aren't people who work in the medical profession supposed to NOT make comments about patients? Especially when you work for an ER and deal with patients who have fertility issues? : Maybe she's in the wrong profession.

Marie-C - Ditto!! What's wrong with these nurses? We have so much difficulty with judgment from family, friends, strangers. Why can't we get a little professionalism from the medical profession?

Alexis - Have a wonderful birthday!!! Being 30 is fabulous!! Yay, yay, yay!!!!

Johanna - I'm so glad your friend moved out of her abusive relationship! She's so strong and brave, and you must be a wonderful friend to support her so well. Sorry about the long, long cycles. 60 day cycles sound awful - hope your doctor can do something for you.

Sweetteach - I would love a copy of that article too. Let me know if you need my address.

Adina - Those sound like great books. Have they helped? Do any of the four address the iui/clomid challenge? All the advice of the women here (especially yours) has helped, but sometimes my questions are too involved.

Velvet - I'm so sorry you are feeling down . . . I know how that feels. I wish I could make you feel better but I know that sometimes the most well-intentioned advice/words/comfort do not work. Know I am thinking of you, sweetie!!

Gonnabe - I'm so glad the Clomid seems to be working for you - early high readings sound great! Also, thanks for the article about donating treatment!! Dh and I will check it out. You said you have a sewing phobia but are nearly finished with a pair of 6 month overalls and a baby cardigan? I want some of your phobia! I don't even know what a mattress stitch is. The only things I can make so far (still hinting to dh about knitting lessons for Christmas) are things I make on the sewing machine - nothing by hand.

Korin - UT infections SUCK A**!! Pee in the warm water - it definitely helps!! Think hot bath - don't think about the peeing part!!

As for me, BAD NEWS - we've put TTC on hold for a few months. Jim has been out of town my last two days of ovulation, so whatever. I have stopped temping, taking progesterone, or checking cm - just doing the ovulation monitor. Feeling o.k. about it . . .

BUT, GOOD NEWS - we have scheduled to put Boquito to sleep 3 different days and the vet continues to think he's not ready. Yay, yay, yay!!! I am continuing to work from home, hand-feeding him 3-4x/day, giving him shots, brushing and loving on him. He still bounds up the steps when we feed him, wakes us by purring in our ears every morning, makes his goofy meow/bark when he wants attention, and follows me everywhere. He's a trooper!

Hope it's not two weeks before my last post - you women are fabulous! to anyone I missed!!

Thank you all for your support. I'm pretty sure it was a mc because of loads of little signs. It was so light for 2 days and then HUGE clotting mess (sorry for the TMI) horrible cramping, then one heavy day, one ultra light day, then nothing. My periods are NEVER anything like that. Plus, twards the beginning of my cycle I had some iffy tests (kinda looked like a faint pos) and loads of symptoms. Anyway. I don't feel really "loss" but I feel some hope. #1, that means I had to have ovulated and #2, the hubby's swimmers are functioning. That just leaves my hormone imbalance. We'll see what I can do when I go to the doctor's next month.

Sorry I can't really keep up with personals but I truly am reading everything going on. You know, vacation/visiting madness. Still thinking of you all

Johanna - I'm so sorry!! I thought I read all the previous posts, but I must have missed yours. Although a m/c is painful on so many levels, I'm glad you can see some positive in it. My m/c over a year ago (and likely m/c a few cycles ago) also confirmed for me that I ovulate and my tubes are open. It was painful, but also answered some questions. Hope you are doing o.k.
