I've been feeling lots of pressure in my hoo-ha all weekend, even became so uncomfortable I had to leave my in-laws early on easter (gee what a crying shame) to get in the prone position. I wouldn't say they were contractions because they never had a start and end, just constant pressure for hours. I also had this feeling like I needed to sit on my birthball and it felt great when I did so.

Well, today I went to my 34 week midwife appointment. I asked the mws about the feeling and they offered to check me... I wasn't expecting to have an internal until 36 weeks, but since they're not alarmists I figured that would be fine.

Sooooo, I'm at 1 cm and somewhat effaced. They said babys head is at the 3rd station (what does that mean??? I'll be researching right after writing this.) In fact, the mw said she was touching baby head....

So the pre-labor has started, but it could be like this for weeks. MW said I won't go late, possibly on-time, but she wouldn't be surprised if I went early. She said they wouldn't attempt to stop labor if it started now, but she thinks I've still got time and that I still don't need to come in until my 36 week appointment.

I'm really hoping that baby stays put until 36 weeks so the crazy hosp staff will leave us alone. Of course, if you ask me I think that baby is waiting for me to relax, which I won't until its at least 36 weeks. Then this kid is getting an eviction notice. My instinct tells me that baby will probably be here in 2-4 weeks, even if my due date is 6 weeks away.

I've certainly got all the emotional signs of it happening soon. I'm extra weepy and agitated (poor DH) which is really far from my normal state. I'm also nesting like crazy, dragging DH to Babies R Us to get needed items... Cleaning diapers and clothes like mad. Anything dirty in the house (like the kitchen floor) is REALLY BOTHERING ME. I'm a sap for my bunny and his cuteness can make me cry. I feel like I NEED to put the co-sleeper together and vaccuum the baby's room again.

Oh, and I made DH get me the luggage so I could pack the birth bag in case Niblett decides to make a real early arrival. Finished packing it and the diaper bag last night and wrote up the "Day Of" list so we won't forget things like shampoo and glasses.

Okay, I'm excited! Yay Baby!
