Hello. New to the forum. Have a question. Was having regular B-H contractions til I started raspberry leaf tea after 37 weeks. Drink 2 cups a day. Just wondering if anyone else had an ease off of the BHCs? Baby is taking time dropping, every few days drops a bit more and is now prob 4/5 engaged (was 3/5 -head to nose- engaged on Friday and he dropped more last night). This morning having low backache and periodic pelvic centered cramping. Anyway I am just wondering if I should forget about the raspberry leaf tea at this point. This is my second child, uncomplicated pregnancy so far (as was the first). Anyone else have an easing of BHCs due to the tea? Did it help or not?

Thanks for all input.

Hmmmm I guess this is not so common then. I am mainly concerned as aren't BHCs meant to prepare you and the tea is supposed to tone you; if the BHCs ease with the tea then how are you toning?

I will ask my midwife tomorrow when I see her. Thanks for the popcorn.

I was having rhythmic braxton hicks a few weeks back (I'm currently 32 weeks) and my midwife said, once we got them to stop, to *not* have any raspberry tea as they could make them come back. I still have braxton hicks, but just not rhythmically now.

I dont know much, haven't gotten that far, but maybe since your baby is doing some work descending and spinning and getting in position for labor, then your uterus might be taking a break? Maybe the next time you feel a ctx it will be the real deal.

I would probably keep up with the tea. JMHO.

Thanks, everyone. I saw my midwife today (will be posting about that on another thread), asked her about it and she recommended keeping with the tea as well. Said it may not have been the tea that eased the BHCs but rather just timing of what my body would be doing anyway. So we shall see. Thanks again for the input.
