My ds has had an earache for the past few days<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> . I thought he had a head cold for until last night, because the whole family is down with one. I can't believe it took me so long to figure it out. This is the first time I've had to deal with earaches. Anyhow, we are putting vitamin e oil in his ear and keeping heat on it. We have also been giving him steam baths, which seems to help. And, of course LOTS of nursing! I was hoping to find some homeopathic tablets, but they don't carry them in my town anymore. I had given up dairy because it was giving him a rash, but in the last week I have eaten cheese almost everyday. I think the cheese and getting a cold is probably the cause of this. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to help him?

Some people take their kids to the chiropractor. They can make sure babe is adjusted to allow the tubes to flow. My chiro showed me how to run my finger from his ear just under his jawline towards chin and said that helps it drain also.<br><br>
Hyland's makes earache drops, maybe you could buy some online in case he gets it again?<br>
Someone here mentioned warm garlic oil and mullien ? for ear infections. I have not tried that myself.<br><br>
