my parents were pretty hip for their time but when I remember other 40ish adults when I was little.... they all seems so old

I remember going to 40+ folks' homes & they were all tidy & a bowl of candy on the table, playing cards... ah.. good memories but we're lucky if we get laundry done :LOL

ok, mentally I'm in my 20s-30s but when is my body gonna feel younger - HA :LOL :LOL

DP has been saying for quite some time "30 is the new 21" (guess who's turning 30 this year, lol).

For my b-day we went to Benihana's and were seating w/this family. Woman about my age, her parents and then her grandma. The grandmother mentioned that she recently turned 80.

DP "Well, you know 80 is the new 21."

Blank stares.

Well, DP doesn't like visiting w/people he doesn't know anyway, so no loss for him :
