At the severe risk of jinxing myself, I have to say that 5 months rocks!!!! I am getting into a really nice groove with the girls, and even my 4 year old seems to be enjoying them. I saw a site that showed wearing twins in a way that would work for me (I just am not comfortable with the back carry), and so I've been wearing them together, and have gotten gobs of comments from people about how calm they are. One sweet, sweet lady at the cafe today said she was so touched watching me with my girls, that she wrote a little note, and gifted me for our next cafe visit. I feel like I can finally be calm and sweet, non-harried and happy. It really helps to not have to finagle BFing every twenty minutes I have time and attention for my 4 year old, and I love watching the sister bond developing between her and her baby sisters (even at just 5 months). I do look forward to them sitting up on their own, and hopefully entertaining themselves a little more, but I am thankful for where we are. Hopefully all you mamas who are going crazy with younger ones will hit this sweet point soon. I know it waxes and wanes (gets easier, then harder, then easier again), and I have to say that it IS true. It does get easier.

Ahhh, Mamliz, I too am feeling the joys of these golden months of babyhood! Ours are 7.5 months old now and I treasure them. ::

Really, they totally crack each other up! I'm trying to get a good pic of this.

That sounds so nice. Even now at almost 4 months I am experiencing some "easier" moments. Like you mentioned, the not having to nurse every 20 minutes!

What are you using to carry them both? I'm still struggling with this one. I don't feel comfortable with the Mei tei back carry yet. I have a wrap, mei tei and sling but only use one at a time.

I hear you! I am so in love with my babies now; I can't get enough of them :
It's funny you should mention the double carry; it was finally cool enough yesterday to try wearing both of them (or maybe it was the fact that i am slightly sick and probably running a low grade fever, so I wanted more body warmth!!!). Adele was on my front in a moby-like wrap, and Nadia was on my back in a Beco, and it felt soooo heavenly

Now I'm just waiting for them to fall into a more solid napping routine, b/c they still turn into little gremlins when they've been awake for too long but I have to run an errand or be somewhere at a specific time.

Okay, a little disclaimer on the "5 months" age. By MONTHS, they are 5 months (6 months on the 26th). But by WEEKS, they are probably already 6 months. (just thought I'd put that disclaimer in there)
As far as the carry, I am using 2 pouches (at least I think they are both pouches). One is the New Native, and the other is the Rockin' Baby Sling (it was a gift!) I love the New Native, and hadn't liked the other, but the other goes great as the second pouch, or the one put on second. It's a little longer than the other. I'll try to find the Picture that helped me, but I am really bad at computer stuff. We'll see...... Basically, they each go to one side.
Mama to one: you could do a wrap on the front and a mei tai on the back. I just haven't purchased a mei tai yet, as I have so many carriers that I do want to use, and can't really afford one at this time. Also, I feel more comfortable with being able to see them both.
