I summed up the entire problem in the subject heading LOL.<br><br>
My 6.5 month old Dd is exclusively breastfed and has had a runny nose since birth. My own nose has always stuffy most of the year from allergies. Her mucous is yellow which usually means a cold. I don't know if she has a cold because she acts like she feels fine. She's happy and playful. I do want her to stop having a runny nose, though. What should I do to improve my diet, or what supplements should I add that would help? Any advice is appreciated. Assume I know nothing <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"><br><br>

I was advised to add that she's not vaxed and I eat a lot of dairy. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

it could be an allergy<br><br>
My exclusivly BF son suddenly was congested and had an ear infection from the moment we moved to Washington.....6 months total!<br><br>
We moved away from Washington and his symptoms magically disappeared!<br><br>
Do you have allergies?<br>
Also it could be due to all the lactose in your system. I know I am very suseptable to lactose and my symptoms are runny nose!

I do have allergies, stuffy nose that itches like nothing you can imagine <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/greensad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="greensad"> and dry, burning eyes. Also I sneeze a lot. I've always blamed it on typical seasona allergies but I've never been tested. I used to drink a gallon of milk every 1-2 days up until recently. I still eat a lot of dairy, overall.<br><br>
I keep telling Dh we need to go see a nutritionist to find out how we can improve our diets. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>

I would elliminate some of the raw dairy from your diet. Like MIlk, but keep the cheeses and yogurts......processed stuff. Try that for a few weeks and see how you feel.<br><br>
It might also help your baby. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br><br>
You dont need the dairy for your milk production.

I bet you could learn more off these boards than a nutritionist. JMO.<br><br>
Look into the food board and recipes and the raw foods board. There are some very smart moms on these boards.
