hi, i am so worried sick....it's tough being a mom sometimes.... anyway, my hub took son to dentist today for routine checkup/cleaning,and the x-rays showed an extra or supernumerary tooth up in his gums above one of his permanent front teeth! i have never heard of this before, but it is causing some shifting of his permanent front teeth and should probably have to be removed. of course, now i am freaking about the thought of him having dental surgery/anesth.,and of him being in pain after the op. i plan on taking him to see an oral surgeon as well as an othrodontist to see what they would recommend,as far as when to do the surgery,or other options. has anyone heard of this? if so, i would like to hear your story and outcome. that is why i love these mothering forums so much...it is like having a best friend and expert to confide in on all sorts of topics. it also helps to ease the worry and fear of the 'unknown' . thanks so much!
