ds2 loves to snuggle up close to whoever he sleeps with - at the moment that means (before I get into bed) his baby brother... in the hour or two between ds2 going to bed (ds3 is already asleep ) and me coming in to join them ds2 gets closer and closer... I know this is risky, I check on them frequently, but I worry

I can't think what else to do though - ds2 has just moved back into my bed because he was too stressed by sleeping in his own bed though he wanted to at first. mattress next to the bed is no use

so I just keep shifting him over till i get in between them

anyone else with older kids and baby in bed??? how do you handle it??

I would be concerned that a 6 yo wouldn't be as aware during sleep. I psent the night with a friend when I was 11 and coslept with her (she was about 30) and her ds (20 mos or so), and I woke up every 20 minutes or so to tuck his blankets around him or snugggle him. I felt very aware he was there and learned to have faith that I wouldn't roll over. If you put your kids to bed before you go to bed, I think it would be okay for them to start off the night snuggling and then when you are alseep and cant' supervise you might move your baby away from your 6yo. HTH
Congrats too!
