It's my 10-year anniversary at work and I got a $75 gift certificate to any local business, but it's been so long since I've had a chance to buy anything for *myself* that I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas! Help!

I would want something that lasts(cloths,tools,plants,mp3 player), and something that I can eat that I would normally never buy.

What do you like to do or what would you like to do? Any hobbies or interests?

I could easily put $75 worth of books on my Kindle, but it has to be a local store so that's out. My sister also suggested pedicures I think you have to use the money all at once, but if I got three $25 gift certificates... Otherwise I'm thinking shoes. You can never have too many shoes (and I actually need some new tennies and maybe some ballet flats for this summer to wear with my capris). I also want a birthstone for my mother and child pendant for DS2, but I think that's something DH should buy for me. But DS2 is almost 2 and I still don't have it, it's always something that gets pushed to be bottom of the pile because it's not a "necessity".

I'd go on Etsy and just start browsing the handmade awesomeness...

Very cool! Is there a local shop that you really like but never get to spend money in? I'd probably opt for something that I could cherish for a long time so I'd remember it like a funky purse or something - but then pedicures and manicures are awfully nice.

Curious to see what you decide.

I was planning on saying a pedicure as well, but pps beat me to it. It is definitely the time of year that I want my toes to look purdy. It is good for your feet too.

And I'd probably get a book too.

oh man, I think I would so get a massage. Other than that, there are some really indulgent household items I'd love but really don't need I might get.

(or a new dress or something...)

Oh, the shoes sound awesome. Or clothes.

But those are just my biases.

I'd go for that birthstone. It sounds like it would really mean a lot to you and that it's "time" for you to have it.
